Arrived today, and heading off tomorrow for the last leg of the hike.
As we understand it, there are no road crossings for this last hundred miles or so -- a hundred-mile wilderness. Hikers have to be sure they carry everything they need for the week's trek to Mt. Katahdin.
Karl now plans to reach the end of the trail by September 5.
